Speak at FSOSS



Open source and free software is pervasive in modern technology. At FSOSS 2018 we want to explore all aspects of this expansion, in addition to current free and open source software projects, new directions in community development, security in an always connected world, future directions in technology, and social impact. We're seeking presentations at a variety of

levels:

* lightning talks (10 min each)
* traditional talks - (40 min talk + 10 min Q and A)
* workshops - (2 to 3 hours, hands on activity)

Specific areas of focus this year include:

* Open source engagement - social, economic, commercial , open data, and leadership

* Security in an always-on, pervasive computing environment

* Open source and business ~ Talks about business models, new types of businesses enabled by open source, technical innovation driven by free software and open source, the tension between personal freedom and business interests, the expansion of open source concepts beyond software, and licensing issues are all welcome.

* Open source and emerging technology - Machine learning/deep learning, Blockchain technologies, Advanced graphics,

* Open source technology deep dives
