Nat Friedman, Vice President, Linux Desktop, Novell
Nat Friedman is Vice President of Linux Desktop Engineering at
Novell, in charge of the vision and implementation of Novell's
desktop products. Both a hacker and an entrepreneur, Nat
cofounded Ximian in 1999, which was later
acquired by Novell. Nat started the Beagle, Dashboard, Hula,
and Better Desktop projects and today is responsible for
overseeing the development of Evolution, F-Spot, Banshee, and
many other projects. Nat served as chairman of the GNOME
Foundation for two years.
